Fantastic Marvel Superhero Tri Event
Superhero Tri Event - 16th August 2025
On the 16th of August two coaches of Brunel and UET friends and families joined over 5000 'everyday' Superheroes to take part in the Tri Marvel event at Dorney Lake in Windsor.
Staff, children, young people and their family and friends travelled together on wheelchair accessible coaches to the event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed being able to take part in the challenges as a family.
An impressive line-up of Paralympic medalists were there to support the event, the UK’s only large-scale sporting challenge designed specifically for people with disabilities. Taking to the start line was table tennis star Will Bayley, a Paralympic, World and European champion, alongside Paralympic and World rowing champion Laura Sugar, and Paralympic and World cycling champion James Ball.
Now celebrating its eighth year, the Superhero Tri invites participants to team up with their ‘Sidekicks’ – friends or family members who support them along the way offering a rare chance to share the joy and buzz of the race side by side.
