A fond farewell to Brunel Chairman

We would like to express our enormous thanks to William Wyldbore-Smith for his dedicated 10 years of service as the Chairman of the Brunel Academies Trust (BAT) Board of Trustees following his resignation from the Chair position at last week’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). William’s strategic leadership, knowledge, guidance and unwavering commitment to the trust is invaluable and we are very pleased that he will be continuing as a Trustee on the board for another year.

We are also delighted to welcome Andy Tait, a long serving, extremely knowledgeable and dedicated Trustee on the board who has been appointed as the new Chairman.

Our thanks go to the children, young people and staff from Brimble Hill School, Uplands School, The Chalet School, Connex, Churchward School, Westlea Primary School and Horizons College who attended the AGM to express their thanks to Wiilliam. The children and young people from The Chalet School, Brimble and Uplands School choirs performed some wonderful songs and William was presented with cards and gifts by way of thanks.

We are grateful to everyone who took part in the celebrations, with particular thanks to Brimble Hill School for hosting the AGM and providing the tea and cakes.
